POETRY

For You

When I pray I pray for you
When I sing I sing for you
When cry I cry for you
And when I dream I dream of you

When the sun is high It warms my skin
When the moon is full I look within
When the rain comes it refreshes me
And the stars above let me see...

The beauty in your sky blue eyes
The sweet within where glory lies
The holy love
inside
your soul
Makes me happy
and keeps
me whole

Legacy of a Madman

A beautiful flower so broken and bent
Legacy of a Madman , insane and hell-bent
Dug at your soul and infected your mind
Dark days of danger , no peace to find
Sometimes it's there then it's gone like the wind
Feel so afraid , when the madness , begins

God gave you courage to leave that madman
You went through your changes , your heart made its stand
Now it is sure you are physically free
But feelings take longer , to let go and bleed
Sometimes it's there , then it's gone like the wind
Feel so afraid , when the memories , begin

Noone's to judge you for where you are at
You were the victim , no doubt about that
To us you're a flower and always will be
A joy in our life , a treasure to keep
But sometimes it's there , then it's gone like the wind
Feel so much hate , when the memories , begin

BRAVE YOUNG SOLDIERS

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

I know the truths you hold to be true

I know the feeling when pump out your chests

I know you will die, so we can rest

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

In a lifetime passed you know I was you

You follow the orders given to you

It’s not yours to question, just yours to do

Brave young soldiers

I cry.…….

For you

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

What your leaders say I know is not true

They’re getting rich while they send you to war

And fighting for freedom, ain’t what it’s for

Brave young soldiers

I cry……

For you

Brave young soldiers I cry for you

And know I will always stand behind you

I’ll support you, praise you, I’ll salute you

But mostly brave soldiers, I’ll cry for you

Brave young soldiers

I cry…….

For you

Light of Love

The darkest time of my life is when we're fighting
And our bodies lie in bed too far apart
Nothing seems right when this is happening
And the light of love leaves our beating hearts

Been so long together we'll never part
And this fighting's just a flight from our hearts
We'll return and the light of love will shine
And soon I'll recall, you always will be mine

Why this silly disruption of our lives
Why turn our souls from the light
Why act like we never loved before
When we know, noone's walking out the door

The darkest time of my life
Is when we're fighting

Lying In Melancholy

Lying in melancholy
Thinking of you
Caressing each thought
As love tingles within

Be patient my flower
Tho time moves slowly
It does not move back
Only to the future
And bright horizons!

Mama

Mama you're a saint now
High beyond the sky
All your pain is gone now
No more questions why
Your tears are crystal diamonds now
That sparkle in the night
The love of God surrounds you
As you dance in heavens Light

I think of you so sweetly
Only lovejoy makes me cry
Cause Mama you're a saint now
High beyond the sky
Your tears are crystal diamonds now
That sparkle in the night
The love of God surrounds you
As you dance in heavens Light

My Lady

I thought that in my whole life
I'd never settle down
Alone along the by-ways
My head down to the ground

Then I came upon a lady
With eyes like the sun
She looked at me and I could see
I found my own true love

She's my Lady
She's my own true love

Now we travel down the by-ways
Of life as it goes
Through thick and thin we just hang in
Where else would we go

She's my Lady
She's my own true love

"Hey Poquita" (song)

Hey Poquita, love of my life
Hey Poquita, heart of my soul
Hey Poquita, always love me
Hey Poquita, you're my gold

In the sweet blue of you
I sail uncharted seas
Reaching forward back in time
A flame of light in me

Wrapped inside a cloak of love
A freedom softly screams
All throughout my senses
Fulfilling scarlet dreams

Hey Poquita, love of my life
Hey Poquita, heart of my soul
Hey Poquita, always love me
Hey Poquita, you're my gold
You're my gold
You're my gold
Hey Poquita, always love me
Hey Poquita
You're my gold
You're my gold

RAINBOW OF MAN

I have seen men,

Women and children

Of many different colors

Playing together

And it was

Oh yes it was

So beautiful.

God made man

As He made His universe

And assortment of beauty

To blend together

And harmonize

As one

Oh I have been blessed

To have seen such beauty

But my heart cries to see

The world as it was meant to be

A rainbow

A rainbow of Man

A rainbow of love

A rainbow of peace

Of beauty

And harmony

A rainbow

A rainbow

A rainbow of Man

ONE RACE

We all breathe.

We all laugh.

We all cry.

We all suffer.

We all experience joy,

Grief and sadness.

Loneliness and gladness.

We all bleed red.

We all shed tears.

We all have mothers,

Fathers and siblings.

Children and friends.

We all feel.

We are all real.

We are all one.

One race!

One wonderfully diverse

Race.

With many different colors,

Flavors and textures.

And we all meet

With our hearts

And our souls.

For we all breathe.

We all laugh.

And we all cry.

TRUTH

We write only in truth.

For without truth there is nothing.

We sing from our hearts and souls,

for that is the only way the voice

can resonate and be heard.

Words are light that beams the

message that cries out from our being.

The music carries and gives life and vibrancy

to the words.

And they become one…..

the music, the words ,

the voice, the heart,

and the soul!

         OLD INDIAN

He searched all the mountains

He searched all the seas

He searched all the churches

And he searched endlessly

He searched endlessly

He meditated deeply

On the sun and the stars

He even searched deeply

Inside a bottle in the bars

Inside a bottle in the bars

But he never found nothing’

Searching that way

He only found something’

When he searched himself

And he found himself a body

He found himself a mind

He found himself a soul

And he found enough to find

And he found enough to find

And he found more nothing’

Searching’ that a way

And he saw a lot of something’

When he searched himself

        AMOR

Now you have

Tears of joy.

Now your life is

Happy!

With amor……

All is warm like

The morning sun.

All sparkles like

A shining river.

You have the right to amor.

Claim it,

Enjoy it,

Savor it.

For it is yours……

Siempre!

LA PAZ
POR
BOB VICTOR SCHWEITZER

La paz no la guerra

Es buena

Es buena

El dolor

De la madre

Por su hijo

Perdido

En batalla que lastima

La guerra es mala

Es mala

Dios llora

Muchas lágrimas

Triste porque

Sus niños pelean

Sobre nada, sobre nada

Llorando también

Llorando también

La paz no la guerra

Es buena

Es buena

Es buena

Y HOY ES

El destino final de mi vida

No es, no es conocido

Tengo, tengo solamente hoy

Y hoy, y hoy
Es bastante
Quizás, quizás, quizás,quizás

Hoy es mi último día
Quizás, mi último día

No sé, no sé, no sé no sé

Yo vivo cada día

Solamente

Porque, porque, porque,
porque

Mañana es un sueño

Ayer, ayer es pasado

Y hoy, y hoy , y hoy, y hoy

Y hoy es muy preciosa

Yo sé, yo sé, yo sé, yo sé

Hoy es muy preciosa

Hoy es muy preciosa

Yo sé, yo sé, yo sé

Yo sé, yo sé, yo sé

FAROLITA

Farolita Farolita tú eres la luz
de mi vida

Cada noche, cada noche bésame con pasión
cada noche

Yi, yi yi Farolita
Yi , yi yi Farolita
Mi Farolita

Como viento, viento fuego, tu inflamas mis entrañas
Con anhelo

Ven a mi amor, ven a mi amor, en el alba por favor
Ven a mi amor

Yi, yi, yi Farolita
Yi , yi yi Farolita
Mi Farolita

Farolita, Farolita you are the light of my life

Every night my love, every night my love, kiss me with passion
Every night my love

Like the wind, a wind of fire, you inflame my essence, my soul
With desire

Come to me my love, come to me my love, in the dawn
Oh please, come to me my love

AMIGO MIO

Amigo mío, amigo mío, amigo mío

Donde estás

Amigo mío

Donde estás

I look but I do not see you

I listen but I do not hear you my friend

Sin consuelo I think of you

Llorando I remember good times

Amigo mío, amigo mío, amigo mío

Donde estás

Amigo mío

Donde estás

Like a river flows to the sea

I know my friend you’ll always be

Amigo mío, amigo mío, amigo mío

Donde estás

Amigo mío

Donde estás

Donde estás

Donde estás

Amigo mío

Donde estás

EL DOLOR DEL CORAZÓN

Dilema agridulce, dilema agridulce

El dolor del corazón

enamorado

un dilema agridulce.

Porque tiene alegría

Alegría con tristeza,

Serenidad con dolor,

Y amargura con dulzura!

Amor es de la vida.

Dolor es de la vida.

Los dos inflama

el alma,

con pasíon de fuego

Dilema agridulce, dilema agridulce

El dolor del corazón

Emamorado

Un dilema agridulce

Un dilema agridulce

Dilema agridulce

DAY DREAM

Day dream of you

Sweet fantasy

Kissing your lips

Soft touch caress

Lay down with you

Moving as one

Hearts beating strong

Warm as the sun

Dream of the night

All of the day

Inside my mind

Your passion stays

Sing in the sunlight

Love shines on me

Soul of my life

Your heart beats in me

Bridled desire

Burns in my veins

Aching for you

Drives me insane

Dream of the night

All of the day

Inside my mind

Your passion stays

Soñando de la noche

Todo el día

Dentro mi mente

Tu pasión se queda

TRIP TO COLORADO
“A Songwriter’s Story”

ROBERT VICTOR SCHWEITZER

Trip to Colorado: A Songwriter’s Story, is a novella based on a true story. It chronicles a Vietnam Vet’s disillusionment when he returns home from the service and his failure in adjusting to “coming home”. In despair he decides to leave and visit and Air Force buddy who lives in a Denver suburb. A barroom experience sends him running from Denver to Montana, a place he had been stationed before going to Vietnam. Throughout his travels he experiences people that play unique roles in helping him find himself. He is drawn to poets and songwriters and eventually achieves his dream of becoming one himself. Along the way he recalls his military experiences, which help him to finally process all that he had been through. The protagonist rises from failure and hopelessness to find the will to go on with life and endure. It is clear that he needed to leave home to “come home”.

MY WIFE MARY´S POEMS

THERE IS  A PLACE

There is a place I go when I’m shrouded in sorrow and pain

You see my face and know,

And take me in your arms again

The haven I lost

You gave me back

And you put your wants on hold

To give me everything you could

And you made the half of me whole

I love you more than I can say

But I hope you will always know

No one could give what you have to me

You repaired my soul

FACE OF LOVE

There are so many faces and places I have seen

So many one night stands

So many broken dreams

There were so many promises that never did come true

How the world would I know

I’d find these dreams in you

How could you be so gentle, how could you be so kind

What did you see in me

I’d left such hurt behind

Children and family torn apart from the traumas drugs can wield

Scars and memories spinning forever

That may never be healed

But you came into my life and gave me so much love

I had to turn and look at you

And I saw the face of love

I tried to run away, but nothing I could say

Could keep me from

Your face of love

          MIA AMORE

I have something to tell you

It comes straight from my heart

It’s about how our love goes on

Even when we have to part

I’ll be the sun that warms your face

I’ll be the stars on which you gaze

And when the rain falls gently on your hair

Then you know that I am there

When the rainbow colors the sky

I never really said good-bye
