YES,  WHY   OFTEN ?   /   Yet Somehow…..

IS THIS A PERPETUAL DISGRACE  /   PREDESTINED

STRANGE ILLUSIONS   /   THE TSUNAMI TREMORS

JUST THINK IT OVER   /   NATURE'S HAVOC

  Plight Of Flowers

  Shower after shower
Rock the petals splendor
Dejected and doomed
I curse, why had I bloomed.

The season of summer
Like-wise wilts my glitter
Dumb stuck I bear the pain
Caught by the hot-noon sun.

Fury of winds do not abate
Spring seems on a hot pursuit
Every season shows some fury
And every hope is forced to bury.

Winter does not lag behind
It has a phase own to offend
The biting cold wraps all night
Here too I fall flat to the might.

A blooming flower am I, dear
Ravaged by seasons, peep with fear
Who reckons our fear-daubed life?
Which snap our short-spanned lives.

  You Are The Dawn

How the dawn brings the light
How the light fill the whole heart
The most sought after dream
From childhood to youthful charm
Keep haunting the chambers dark
Leaving the blind, without a spark.

The bright sunrays pierce all corners
The warm moon light delight all viewers
But the wrecked childhood days
Weaken the living spirit, day after day
The fast approaching phase of youth
Still finds no one to shower some warmth.

In the pre-destined darkness, left to fate
No hand is offered as help, though aghast
Love is the dire need in this crisis hour
Showering faith on us is the only savior
Hold our hand to share feelings for a day
Who’s there except you to show us a way.

Yes, you are the dawn to bring the light
Yes, you are the light to fill the dark hearts.

Dr. Ashok Chakravarthy Tholana

A LONGING

Longing and still longing

I try to reach the other shore

Anticipating new delights, I sing

A theme, which soothe a dreamer.

I swam the eclipsed childhood

With fondling care and concern

Before similar scenario, now I stood

Budding with youthful aggression.

I roam in the skies of dreams

I dance in the showers of pleasure

Hours and days gallop with charms

Relieving from all hassles, for sure.

But the one that stalls my goal

Is the "adoration", we own by instinct

Often, yes, it storms my soul

Fantasizing thoughts, full of delight.

Longing and once again longing

Ably I try reaching the other shore

Foreseeing delights, I keep aspiring

How to traverse the hearts love-shores.

-----------------------------------

YOU ARE MY DAWN

How the dawn brings the light

How the light fill the whole heart

The most sought after dream

From childhood to youthful charm

Keep haunting the chambers dark

Leaving the blind, without a spark.

The bright sunrays pierce all corners

The warm moon light delight all viewers

But the wrecked childhood days

Weaken the living spirit, day after day

The fast approaching phase of youth

Still finds no one to shower some warmth.

In the pre-destined darkness, left to fate

No hand is offered as help, though aghast

Love is the dire need in this crisis hour

Showering faith on us is the only savior

Hold our hand to share feelings for a day

Who’s there except you to show us a way.

Yes, you are the dawn to bring the light

Yes, you are the light to fill the dark hearts.

THE EVIL TIDES

Drowned

In the tidal waves of fury

Ripping apart

Whatever came across

Swallowing and burying

Living beings

With vengeance as if.

Thirst quenched

World shocked

Outcome,

Beyond belief

Whereabouts unknown

Hopes tarnished

Fears grappling

Somewhere someone

No where any one

Only an elusive search

Into the vacuum of future

Where the vultures of fate

Swoop with hunger

To snatch the remnant hopes.

-----------------------------------

THE RIGHT APPROACH

The tiny palms

Behold the pen mighty

Pray, to tread the paths

And to script a future

That shall flourish

With peace and prosperity.

Their spirited brains

Sharp and attentive

Their blooming thoughts

Pure, with approach positive

Shall adorn the future dawns

Filled with harmony and joy.

Let us hope, let us pray

The school going children

Are truly motivated

With a right spirit

With a right sense

For the rightful cause

To uplift the future morale

Of universal brotherhood

And humanitarian approach.

-----------------------------------

EITHER A SELF OR ETERNAL

Through the skies

The stars appear

Through the clouds

The moon peeps

The active monsoon

Overcast at times

Imparts us perhaps

Different phases of life.

Through the heart

Sorrows may disappear

Through charging thoughts

Sorrows may reappear

When greed activates

Fluctuations tempts us

While desires swing

Betwixt joys and sorrows.

Life is not what we look at

Except a bundle of temptations

Our own actions and motives

Form the root-cause of all

Sown and groomed at own will

We reap them at every chance

Midst the diverse phases of life

Aspiring many, even the infinite

But let our dear, near one know

Everything would perish one day

Nothing is either a self or eternal.

-------------------------------------------

QUEST FOR A CHANGE

My mind is robed

With repulsive thoughts

Yet, they aim to soothe me

Like a comforting balm.

Despite a burning turmoil

By the deceitful nature

Of near and dear ones;

Heart, in dire need

Seeks a refuge of solace.

The sparkling dawn

All of a sudden

Provoke a string of hopes

To motivate a flush of thoughts.

Yes, though deprived

Why not we impart

The element of humanity

Offering a hand of unity

Instead of feeling isolated.

Lo, deserted humans

At the hour of crisis

Arise, awake and resolve

How to face the future

How to change our future.

-----------------------------------------

REFLECTIONS

The same shadows

A similar obsession

The warm babble

All disappear slowly

Into the dawn’s lap.

The stretching shadows

The lurking obsession

Again the warm babble

Slowly disappear again

Into the lap of dusk fall.

The different nights

Dark and moonlit

The different dawns

The different evenings

Display shades of life

At different times

Only to disappear.

We ought to learn

The art of living,

The art of sharing,

Loving and caring,

Attentive and aspiring;

From the raising sun

From the setting sun

Which everyday reflect

The reflections of life.

---------------------------

IN QUEST OF MERCY

A black shroud of silence

A blocked world in total

The deaf-blind community

Why are they looked upon

As a curse and burden, yes

Lord! Are they accursed?

To free the sufferers

From the caged destiny

Why no one is bent upon,

While impatiently

The turbulence is fought

In the darkest silence

Of unimaginable agony.

The deaf-blind journey of life

Devoid of any destination

If gets stuck in a woeful cell

Without emotional bondages;

The frontiers of shrinking life

Mercilessly pounce on them

With a vindictive attitude

On those mercilessly cornered

Midst the four persecute walls

Of misery, agony, fear and gloom.

Desperation drives them away

From humanity and human instinct

But they search you, O Almighty!

O Almighty! Let your divine intrusion

At least shower a ray of mercy

To enthrall them with a spark of hope

CAN SOMEONE ENLIGHTEN US

Reigning frauds, factions, false prides and famines
Time and again, miseries shake our mind and senses
Women are abused, new born are thrown into dustbins
With enmity brewing, we are simply backing turbulence

Yes, can someone enlighten us now?

Poverty and famines often playing with lives of humans

The element of humane approach is thrown to vultures
Delights on one shore, wrath storming the other often
With differing views we are creating different
ruptures.
Yes, can someone enlighten us now?

An orphaned child, a bone sucked beggar on streets
These skeletons of life wander midst human habitats
Shelterless, thirsty, hungry and knocked by ill-treats
They still explore the pulse of mercy in human hearts.
Yes, can someone enlighten us now?

The painful Mother Earth is soaked in pools of blood
We neither think of her agony nor mend our morals
With selfish motto, we are scripting a future hazard
None shall forgive us later for this mound of perils.
Yes, can someone enlighten us now?

A TIDE’S TRAUMA

From the deepest of deep seas
From the farthest of oceanic waves
Tossing, I travel and travel
Like a huge tidal wave
Ultimately become a small wave
Before reaching the shore.

Into the murky sands I seep
All the delights I possessed
Simply vanish in a fraction.
Yes, never had I dreamt
While navigating the high seas
That my delight unparallel
Would get curtailed at the shores.

Though a tide I am by nature
I play with the sea breeze
I hobnob with drifting clouds
I tease the twinkling stars
I surge towards the rainbow
Finally surfacing at the shore.

No way to shuttle now, alas
Thumped by the countless feet
I break into numerous atoms
Losing forever perhaps
To evaporate into nature’s lap.

A POSITIVE QUEST

Thoughts trickle
Into the ageless time;
Browse deep into extremes
Of future’s gloomy icons
Where darkness reigns.
Coming across emotions,
Unfolding apprehensions
Conveying uncertainty,
Without an iota of joy
I get totally scared
To further approach
Into the dark volumes.

The other side of darkness
Possess a bright element
Of attaining enlightenment
Where the positive delights
Shine like an amazing glow.
They shower rays of hope
They promise succor to needy
They show serenity in dismay
They assure eternal peace
They aspire to hug us each
And convey the message of love.

The chambers of heart
Fill with humane concern
The warm hug of truce
The warm love of friendship
The warmth of love itself;
Lo ! How joy-filled are they ?
How eternal they seem ?
In the light of true spirit, yes,
Why can’t we be optimistic ?

--------------------------------------------------
 A NEED

The buds of trust
Are ruthlessly nipped,
The flowers of love
Are brutally mauled.
Feeling alarmed,
The pigeons of peace
Fly into the distant skies,
To safeguard their survival.

As mere spectators
Ignoring the alarming plight
Of hope-fading peace;
Our mean characters float up
Competing with motives selfish;
Deceitfully peeping through
A ruthless and malicious garb.

Chased and surrounded
By the blood-thirsty vultures;
The pigeons of peace
With a hope for survival
Scream in the mid-skies
In a faith-filled attempt
To draw our kind attention.

But, engrossed in strategies
Planning to outwit each other,
For selfish ends if we keep fighting
How can there be an option
To save someone from despair?
A fear grips my future vision;
Will the delicate buds of trust
Blossom into flowers of love
And can the pigeons of peace
Fly back to their nests of faith.
As a humane concern, let’s think over
A balancing act is a need at this hour.
